Spend some quality time with the family, while making a positive change in your community!

This Saturday, January 21 from 9 am – 12 pm, GTM Research Reserve will be hosting an oyster shell bagging event. These shells will be used for oyster reef building projects.

“Since this is a Saturday event, it’s a great opportunity to bring the entire family and get involved with what the reserve is doing,” said Andrea Noel, manager of Northeast Florida Aquatic Preserves and coordinator for all of the reserve’s oyster restoration projects.

Gloves will be provided. Please wear closed-toe shoes. To register for the oyster shell bagging event, email GTM Research Reserve’s Volunteer Coordinator Shannon Rininger at shannon.rininger@dep.state.fl.us or call 904-823-4500.
