The Florida Microplastic Awareness Project (FMAP) is a citizen-science project that was funded in 2015 by an outreach and education grant from NOAA’s Marine Debris Program.

McGuire is Florida’s Sea Grant agent for UF/IFAS Extension in Flagler and St. Johns counties, and is chair of the National Sea Grant Education Network. She was named the Florida Wildlife Federation’s 2015 Conservation Educator of the Year. 

The lecture will be held at Marineland Dolphin Adventure. Seating is limited so please reserve your spot online. Be sure to bring your ticket to the Marineland gift shop at 9:45 am on the day of the scheduled presentation to gain entry. All attendees will receive a special wristband for free admission after the lecture (only valid for this lecture) to Marineland. For more information, call 904-823-4500.
