This is a “Beaches 101” experience the entire family will enjoy. The hike begins at the Visitor Center where you learn about the different habitats on GTM’s beautiful seashore. Afterward\, the group heads to the beach for a salty adventure. Parking is in front of the Visitor Center; there is no parking fee. \nThe Visitor Center address: 505 Guana River Road\, Ponte Vedra Beach\, FL  32082. \nPlease CLICK HERE to reserve a spot online for the Beach Exploration. \nDo I need a reservation to attend?  \n\nYes\, register online by following the links provided above.\n\nIf I can’t make it\, how do I cancel my reservation?  \n\nWhen you register\, you receive an email confirmation with information about canceling.\n\nWhat should I wear?  \n\nAppropriate clothing for the outdoors is recommended. At any point during the hike\, visitors can take swim breaks in the beautiful ocean.\n\nWhat will I learn?  \n\nThe GTM Research Reserve interpretive guide discusses where the restless sand comes from\, where it’s going and its refusal to stay put. Ask why the sand is fine or coarse and how it got its color.
