DESCRIPTION:Join GTM Research Reserve and the National Park Service for a guided interpretive hike around the Matanzas Inlet. Explore the ever-changing shoreline\, tidal flats\, beaches\, dunes\, vegetation\, birds\, and wildlife. The event is free but online registration is required. \nCLICK HERE TO REGISTER. \nDo I need a reservation to attend the hike? \nYes\, register online by following the links provided above. \nIf I can’t make it\, how do I cancel my reservation?\nWhen you register\, you receive an email confirmation with information about canceling. \nWhat should I wear?\nAppropriate clothing for the outdoors is recommended. Dress in layers and prepare for any type of weather. Closed-toe shoes are encouraged but not required. Hats protect your skin from the sun\, along with sunscreen. Bug spray is also suggested. \nWhat should I bring? \nA reusable water bottle (that can be filled up onsite)\, insect repellent (strongly recommended)\, sunscreen\, and binoculars/cameras are suggested. \nCan I bring my dog?\nFamily pets/dogs cannot join the educational hikes\, as they may distract participants and disrupt native wildlife.
