High school interns must be incoming junior or seniors. interns will work with education staff and other departments at GTM to gain unique, hands-on experiences related to estuarine science.

  • How to apply:
    • High school juniors and seniors with a GPA of 2.0 or higher may apply by sending a resume, cover letter, and letter of recommendation to [email protected]. Applicants must be committed and able to complete the full internship. Internships typically occur between the months of June and August.
We are looking for undergraduate students currently enrolled or recently graduated from an accredited environmental education, marine science, elementary education, or related program. Our team is looking for individuals possessing a strong interest in working with children in an environmental education setting. Interns will lead and assist campers and staff through indoor and outdoor learning activities. Many of the education programs are modeled after monitoring and research efforts occurring within the National Estuarine Research Reserve System (NERRS). Interns may be asked to collaborate with staff in other departments (research, stewardship, collaboration/coastal training, resource management). Interns may also assist with curriculum development, curriculum alignment, leading K-16 education programs, and other assignments.
